Why this menu
You're already coordinating a conference. The last thing you need is to source five different vendors for the offsite afternoon. Out of Office Experiences is VIVA! Events' preferred outdoor activity partner — every activity below is a single phone call, one invoice, one team running the show.
Mix and match across your group. We split big rooms into smaller pods — kayakers on the river, riders on the trail, tasters in the Valley — and pick everyone up at the same time. We can add lunch reservations, a conference room, and a team-building wrap. VIVA! handles the conference and the logistics. We handle everything outside the meeting room.
Ride along the Willamette River through Portland on a quiet city loop, or roll east to Multnomah Falls and pass six huge waterfalls in a single afternoon. Pedal-assist e-bikes mean nobody gets dropped, the back of the group keeps up with the front.
Paddle the Ross Island Loop straight out of downtown Portland, or head east to Cascade Locks and put in inside the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Sit-on-top kayaks, full safety briefing, and a guide for every ten paddlers.
Two of America's great wine regions are within an hour of the lobby. Visit Columbia River Gorge producers on the cliff above the river, or head south into the Willamette Valley for pinot at the source. Tasting flights, transportation, and a designated driver.
The Gorge has more waterfalls per mile than anywhere in North America. We take the scenic backroad route — Latourell, Wahkeena, Multnomah, Horsetail — with short walks to each.
Run away to the Pacific. We shuttle the group from the hotel out to Depoe Bay — the whale-watching capital of Oregon — and board a chartered boat. Gray whales pass year-round.
For larger groups
Big groups never want the same thing. Half the team paddles the Gorge, a quarter rides to the falls, the rest goes wine tasting — and we pick everyone up at the same time, deliver them back to the lobby together, and feed them in between.
